We are looking for volunteers to help with trail maintenance and grooming. We also are looking for volunteer help with temporary signage, policing the trains for litter and general cleanliness. NSNA is also looking for social media experts who can help design and implement a social media campaign.
Make a Donation
Help us today by making a donation. Because we are entirely volunteer run, 100% of your contribution goes toward the cost of our operations. With your help, we will continue bringing community ski trail grooming to the North Shore of Massachusetts every winter.
Would you like to donate stock rather than cash? We offer that option to our donors. To do so, click the button below.
Volunteer with Us
As a completely volunteer run organization, we are always looking for new people to help us fulfill our mission of creating a network of groomed trails that is freely accessible to the public. Please see a list of our current needs below.
Trail Maintenance volunteers
Our trail maintenance volunteers make sure that the trails are safe and enjoyable for all by preparing bare surfaces for grooming, removing obstacles, keeping the trails clean, and identifying areas where the groomed track needs to be touched up.
Social Media Volunteers
As a social media volunteer, you will be a public ambassador for our mission on our facebook, twitter, and instagram accounts. You will also update the community with trail reports and news items on our website, and streamline the sharing of this content among the different social platforms.
Our office intern will help the "behind the scenes" operation of the North Shore Nordic Association run smoothly. You will also help manage fundraising campaigns and event planning.
As a groomer operator, you will be trained in the use and maintenance of our snowmobile and ginzu groomer. You and other operators will be responsible for grooming our trail network after a snowfall, and touching up groomed surfaces in need of repair.
